Before I Fall
The production that started it all - Before I Fall was a verbatim piece based on the experiences and views of mental health within the Black community.
Five strangers step onto a tube carriage on their daily commute unaware of the ties that link them in various ways. A physical theatre, verbatim piece that highlights at times when you feel most alone, there’s always someone who will catch you before you fall.
Debuted as part of Goldsmiths Degree Show, Tap Out Festival 2019, on 16th & 17th May 2019.
Something About Love
Something about Love follows the journey of Sydalia Love, who migrated from Jamaica and eventually becomes the UK’s first female Black Prime Minister. Moving to London, she quickly realised that the streets weren’t painted gold and faced with adversity, isolation and alienation from the world around her, she struggled with her identity which ultimately leads her onto an exploration of self discovery and self love.
Based on the care experience and memoirs of survivors of sexual harassment and abuse of women, through therapy and love, Sydalia heals her inner child who helps her to see the world differently. With the use of physicality, song and dance, the play takes the audience through Sydalia’s life, leading to her boldest decision yet.
